FIRST RULE OF DEENCHARYA - WAKE UP AT DIVINE TIME THAT IS ON 'BRAMHA MUHURT'

Hello friends, here we are  going with next article on DEENACHARYA ,the classic daily routine which helps in management of body clock.Today we will see the first rule of DEENCHARYA,and the rule is that wake up early in the morning and for that cause sleep early at night,and we will see how this habit is responsible for disease free life.

Nowadays depression is the big monster  on the earth, Insomnia became global problem, digestive problems are troubling people worldwide  and one after every five persons is suffering with either constipation or IBS or oesophageal reflux etc. But it is not so long that our grand parents or great grand parents were used to sleep very easily and wake up early . They were never in need of Alarm clocks as their body clock was on right time. They feel hunger on right time. Their digestion was never in need of digestive supplements. They were hardly got constipation so no laxatives were needed. Thus all their natural urges were as natural as they should be! So obviously they were having all positive energy around , that's why depression was not monster but fairy tale for them !!

It suggests that all our body secretions including harmones, digestive enzymes , antioxidants etc follows one cercadian rhythm and for proper secretions they need no disruption in their rhythm. But the fact is , there is nothing in rhythm or in cycle in our life and that's why we should strictly follow Ayurvedic rules and disciplines .
Ayurveda says-

"BRAMHE MUHURTE UTTISHTHE TU   SWASTHO,
 RAKSHARTHAM AYUSHAHA |

 SHARIR CHINTA NIRVARTYAA ,
 KRUT SHAUCH VIDHIHI TATAHA ||
              (ASHTANG RHIDAYAM ) 

The meaning of this shloka is that,we must wake up at 'BRAMHA MUHURTA' .and then follow our natural urges of 'shauch 'that is excretion of urin and stool.

The actual meaning of word bramha muhurt is god's time or divine time. Practically this time is approximately one and half hour before sunrise. And it is considered as divine timing to start your day with.

In Ayurvedic language it is'  WAT DOSH KAAL' that is the time of influence of WAT DOSH.

There are many functions of WAT DOSH in body . Some of them are alertness, excretion of body's waste and toxic products etc . So if we wake up on this time then we could be more alert instead of lazy ,our all morning urges will be proper and it will make us very fresh at early morning. But for this purpose we have to sleep early and thus we can keep our cercadian rhythm stable. 

Let's see what modern physiology says about this. According to physiology , at night time when sunlight reduces, one harmon called melatonin starts releasing in blood from pineal gland . This harmon is responsible for the sense of sleeping . But besides this, melatonin has many functions in body. It is natural antioxidant of body and potent scavenger of free harmful radicals.  When we sleep at night ,our body cleans up all toxins and free radicals from cell . But as melatonin responds to light impulse ,so we should avoid  sitting in front of bright screens of TV, computer , mobile etc , so that to stimulate melatonin secretion and thus we can avoid insomnia. Similarly we should wake up on time because excessive sleep causes excessive melatonin secretion which then causes depression . In those countries which are away from equator ,sun rose up very late ,specially in early spring and winter . So people at such places suffer with SAD- SEASON AFFECTIVE DISORDERS . Cause is again excessive secretion of melatonin due to late sunrise. 

Thus it is unique rule across the whole world that ,if we make it habitual to wake up at bramha muhurt ,that is approximately one and half hour before sunrise,then no matter at which places we are reciding or no matter which season is going on, our cercadian rhythm will run on its accurate timing .

Also our digestive system runs in cercadian rhythm. This cercadian rhythm shapes our brain's control on autonomic and endocrine system through out the 24 hrs cycle. When we sleep on right time at night ,this master clock activates parasympathetic nervous system. Parasympathetic nervous system activates in body at REST AND DIGEST situation . It reduces cardiac rate and increases intestinal and gland activities. Also relaxes sphincter muscles of GIT . If we interrupt body clock ,this metabolic activities get affected which then results into many digestive disorders leading to obesity. 


Hence it's proven that "sleeping early and waking up on Bramha muhurt ", this simple habit can save us from many diseases. 

Not only about disease but also this habit improves our productivity too . As we wake up early ,we get enough time to fulfill our all personal and social responsibilities. This provides us positive energy and saves from psychological disorders and depression.

 The last but not the least , have you ever think that our pets often times need to visit veterinary Doctors,but wild animals don't !! This is because our pets follow us, while wild animals follow natural cercadian rhythm !!

MELASMA AND AYURVEDA

Hello friends, today we will see about MELASMA or CHLOASMA or MONKEY MASK. In ayurveda it is called as VYANG (व्यंग).
